Hostage Negotiator Simulator AI Privacy Policy

Effective 4 November 2026. Applies to the Hostage Negotiator Simulator AI application for Meta Quest, developed and published by Citiview Studios.

Summary

Hostage Negotiator Simulator AI is a single-player game. Speech recognition, the character's words and voices all run on your headset. What you say is never recorded to storage, never uploaded and never shared. We do not collect personal information.

1. Information we collect

None. We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, location, photos or payment details, and the game has no account or login. The game does not send your conversations, your voice or your play data to us or to anyone else.

2. Your microphone

The game asks for the microphone (record audio) permission for push-to-talk. The microphone is used only while you hold the talk button (A or X). That audio is turned into text on the headset itself so the character can understand you, and is then discarded. It is never saved to a file, uploaded or shared, and your words are not kept after the turn. If you deny the permission, you cannot talk to the characters.

3. Information stored on your device

The app saves on your headset only: your career score, the result of each case, and your music and voice volume settings, plus technical timing logs with no words in them. This stays on your headset; it is never uploaded or shared, and no one else, including us, can see it.

4. Deleting your data

You can delete your career and settings at any time: open the menu (left controller MENU button), choose ERASE MY DATA and tap it again to confirm. They are deleted from the headset immediately. Uninstalling the app also deletes all of its data. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing stored on our side to delete; if you have any question about your data, email us at the address below.

5. Meta platform

When the app starts, it asks the Meta platform on your headset to confirm that your Meta account owns the app (an entitlement check). This is handled by Meta under the Meta privacy policy; we receive no personal information from it.

6. Permissions

The app uses the microphone permission for push-to-talk as described above, and storage access to read its own game data file. The internet permission is added by the game engine and is used only for the Meta entitlement check; the game itself makes no network connections. It does not use the camera, location or contacts.

7. Children

The app is offered to teens and adults on the Meta Horizon Store, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Because nothing leaves the headset, a parent can review or delete what is stored at any time using the menu option above.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
