CLAY Privacy Policy

Effective 19 September 2026. Applies to the CLAY application for Meta Quest, developed by Citiview Group and published by Citiview Studios.

Summary

CLAY does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. The app has no account system, no analytics, no advertising and no online features. Everything happens on your headset.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect personal information of any kind. CLAY does not ask for, read or store your name, email address, contacts, location, voice, images, or any identifier from your device or your Meta account.

2. Information stored on your device

The app saves your work locally on your headset: the shape, clay colour and glaze of the pot on each potter's wheel and of the pots you keep on your My Pots shelf, plus the radio track and whether the music is on. These are small files in the app's own private storage and the standard application preferences. This data never leaves the device. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

3. How information is used

The locally stored data is used only to put your pots back on the wheels and the shelf, and to remember your music setting, the next time you play. It is not used for profiling, advertising or any other purpose.

4. Sharing

We do not share any data with anyone. No data is sent to Citiview Group or Citiview Studios, to Meta beyond what the Meta Quest platform itself handles under Meta's own privacy policy, or to any third party. The app makes no network connections of its own.

5. Retention

Your pots and music setting are retained on your headset until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Because we never receive any data, we retain nothing.

6. Children

CLAY does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. There is no user-generated content shared with others, no chat and no online interaction.

7. Permissions

The app requests only the permissions the Meta Quest platform requires to run a virtual reality application (head and controller tracking) and the hand tracking permission, so you can shape the clay with your own fingertips. Hand tracking data is processed on the headset, in real time, only to place your fingers in the studio; it is never stored or transmitted. The app does not request microphone, camera, location or storage permissions. The build includes the standard internet permission that the Unity engine adds by default, but CLAY itself makes no network connections and sends no data anywhere. The app does not request or use eye tracking.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
