Pick your avatar and the others see a full body: the head turns where they look, the arm reaches where they point, and a see-through brick floats where they are about to place it. Name tags float over every builder.
Your world saves by itself on your headset. Visit a friend's island and yours is waiting untouched when you come home. Only the host can start an island over.
Voice chat is off until you turn it on. Mute, block or report anyone from the Builders list, or keep it to friends with a private code. Play alone any time - the island is yours the moment the game loads.
Press Y and the wheel opens in front of you: bricks, plates, slopes and twelve colours on four tabs. Point, pull the trigger, and the brick is in your hand.
Bricks stack on top of each other, build out sideways on the same course and hang from the underside. A steady-aim laser and a sticky stud mean a shaking hand never puts a brick in the wrong place.
